WATCH: Immerse release new single and video ‘Chemical’ + UK Tour dates

IMMERSE conquer life’s battles head on with a smile. The Bristol quartet take pride in touring their energetic live performance throughout the UK & Europe. Behind their fun exterior, these four lads have always taken an empathic & positive approach to creating music. With two albums under their belt, IMMERSE have a strong catalogue behind them which has rewarded them with a loyal fanbase.

Returning with a new sound and image and fresh from shows with To Kill Achilles, Values and Death Blooms, UK’s Immerse are following on from their album ‘The Weight That Holds Me Here’ with new single ‘Chemical’.

“Chemical is a song about how antidepressants are sometimes just as bad as the issue they address. I’ve seen countless people go through endless battles trying to get on the right medication. I’ve always hated seeing my friends struggle with mental health and watching the one thing that’s supposed to help them cause even further issues by sending them into anxiety attacks and depressive episodes. It’s something that’s always made me feel awful, so I wrote this song to address this situation and bring light to it. I want people to know that they are strong for battling with their demons every day and that things will get better. We loved working with producer Robin Adams (Architects/Blood Youth) on this single. Josh & Ben headed to Leeds to record drums with him at The Nave while Tim produced the rest of the track at his home studio back in Bristol. This really gave us the control we wanted throughout the recording process as well as keeping us all safe during covid uncertainties. Not having a time limit or paying for studio time allowed us to fully relax and make our best music. During the writing of ‘Chemical’, it was clear that synths would help take the song to another level. Tim had fun playing with Synthmaster & Izotope Iris to sculpt sounds to tie into our new brand. Once we were happy, Robin worked his magic on the mix & master. Linking up with Marc (To Kill Achilles) to shoot the video in Sheffield was great fun too!”
