Quezon City post-hardcore band PRO FORMA released their newest single called ‘Darlene‘. Darlene is a song about how love can be infiltrated by hate while counting the wrongdoings of others that ends in vengeance and grudges. When someone has been traumatized through abuse or violence, painful memories can last for years. Whether it’s an experience from a relationship between our relatives, friends, partner or just someone we know.

Admit it or not but sometimes it is impossible to love somebody and at the same time hold onto the bad things they may have done in the past. Though we’re not saying that the verse is inapt but rather we should not allow any form of abuse cause at the end of the day it is vital to allow the spirit of reconciliation, we believe that to be able to forgive is part of our own healing process.

Our recording got cancelled and postponed numerous times due to unforeseen circumstances. We thought it wasn’t for us at first, however we are blessed beyond measure, despite all the struggles we’ve been through we managed to release it this year in a much more fulfilled state. It is indeed true that everything has its own time.

At the recording studio of course it is exciting because apart from the fact that we enjoyed recording our song, almost every day we learned new things that will help us grow as a musician. We made sure that each one’s individual input has been applied. Our sound engineer Ronell of Marigold Recording is very diligent and attentive, his attention to detail is exceptional therefore we knew from the beginning that the song would turn out well. We are very happy and satisfied with the outcome.
