The desire to be heard led to the birth of Seasick. Seasick is a DIY pop punk quintet formed in December 2019, composed of individuals who each come from far-flung cities that forming a band seems a bit impossible. The band recently released their debut single called ‘Runaway‘.
Unlike most heartbreak songs where the story revolves around the person who’ve been left behind, ‘Runaway’ focuses on that person who leaves. Realizing that it is a big mistake, he tries winning the love of his life back, but fate seems to have a different plan for them. The song tells the world that the ones who are left may feel pain, but the ones who leave too, get their own hearts broken because of regrets.
There are times that we had to let go of someone we love for the betterment of yourself and for your partner. Most of the time we always think that the person who’ve been left was the only one who suffers, but sometimes the one who left may also feel the loss and regret the decisions they’ve made. We want to convey a message that not all who those who leave, just leave because they just want to or they doesn’t love their partners anymore but sometimes the relationship gets worse and being unhealthy for both individuals. Runaway was written by Raf Sanadres. The song was already tracked by Raf before the band was formed. The other band members just added some new ideas and new riffs to add the “Seasick” vibe on it.
