After releasing their critically acclaimed and third ARIA-award winning record ‘Alien’ the past year, Australian heavyweights NORTHLANE teamed up with director Neal Walters and released ‘NEGATIVE ENERGY’, a documentary film following the entire cycle of Alien; from its recording to the end of the world tour that followed it.
The film covers the struggles that the band has went through since the departure of former vocalist Adrian Fitipaldes and former bassist Alex Milovic, as well as the obstacles that their current singer Marcus Bridge faced throughout his life that he has shared through ‘Alien’, the time where they almost quit, and how Northlane has fought their way through all of it.
Around two years of filming and planning went into this documentary. It tells the story of how Northlane was on the verge of falling apart, and despite the odds we turned it around. There’s things in here we never thought we’d speak about. It’s incredible revealing for us. We hope it inspires you to stay strong in your own lives in these troubled times we are living through.
