Independent alternative metalcore band WORTH THE WAIT released their brand new single “BLACKWATER“. Quarantine influenced the direction that the band chose to go into for this single. The song is about a night where you wake up having to put the pieces back together after having a little too much of that “BLACKWATER“. They wanted to write something that people could rage to and forget about all the sadness that the isolation brought on.
Vocalist Dakota Rose says that he “grew tired of listening to music about sadness, fear, depression, anxiety, hatred, and shortcomings. While I deal with anxiety and depression every day and enjoy these bands, it’s not something I want to constantly relive or bask in.”

Worth The Wait was officially formed in 2011. In 2012 they independently released their debut EP Remembrance, which propelled them onto the Vans Warped Tour stage. The duo describes their current sound as “alternative metalcore infused with electronic elements” and is very reminiscent of that classic late 2000’s metalcore sound. With their rebrand and brand new outlook, the band sets to bring back that spark within the metalcore scene.
