Metalcore band In My Silence drop sophomore album “A World Gone Quiet”

St. Louis, Missouri-based metalcore quintet In My Silence have just debuted their second full-length release on September 25th.

Entitled “A World Gone Quiet“, the album is the follow-up to their debut release “Darken The Sky” and is produced, mixed, and mastered by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Polaris, Erra).

The band, consisting of Ryan Juergens (vocals), Luke O’Neal (guitars), Mike Werner (guitars), Cody Becker (bass), and Tim Callahan (drums), released their sophomore album independently much like their first one and after the release and positive reception of “Darken The Sky”, they wasted no time in going inside the studio once again to begin the creation of what was to become “A World Gone Quiet“.

They also take a lot of pride in their diverse spectrum of musical influences; citing hints of inspiration from the alternative and progressive music industry.

Guitarist Luke O’Neal says:

We took our time to really highlight all of the different influences we all brought to the table to try and figure out our true identity. We wanted to cut through the formulaic noise and just write something timeless and great; something we all really enjoy.

And with this, the band created an album showcasing an atmospheric and melodic metalcore tone that is coupled with powerful vocal deliveries that reel the listener in and with a theme that centered around a story of tragic loss and aims to provide a form of comfort and guidance through the struggles that life can offer in times of turmoil and grief; which the band relate to and are quite familiar with. The album reflects the many ways we as humans cope with devastating circumstances, both in healthy and unhealthy ways.

Prior to the album’s release, the band unveiled two singles “Erasure” and “Death Walks“.

Both of their producers commented on the album’s nature and characteristics.

Carson Slovak says:

The new material is certainly a step forward from their last album. All of that material was really strong, but this just feels more mature and thought out. It’s a good, natural progression as far as I’m concerned. They’re doing the right things and writing cool music.

Grant McFarland says:

I really like how technical the album is. There are a lot of musical things going on at different points in the songs and they sort of take some very interesting turns. There’s a lot of different, unique elements that comprise the music that captures your attention and keeps you listening.
