Pop punk band from Bulacan, LUNARLIGHTS just released their newest single called ‘Muna‘ featuring Chin Detera under UMG Philippines. The track presents concise transitions while highlighting an addictive atmosphere. Stringing together a powerful chorus with an addictively catchy melody, this new track allows the listener to stream it over and over. This single is sure to evolve LUNARLIGHTS‘ ever-growing fanbase.
Commenting on the new track, the band’s frontman, Jose Gaspar says:
“Muna” is about a person falling with someone who’s not ready to commit to a relationship.. not yet at least. I had the melody and the lyrics for the chorus for the longest time, tapos dun ko na lang binuild yung topic nung song dun sa line ng chorus. BTW just to make it clear, the story is just fiction and not from personal experience HAHAHA.
Songwriting-wise, compared to the previous releases in the past years, we really took our time arranging and figuring out the right song structure, lyrics and the overall vibe for this release. It’s also been great to try new things and learn stuff from our time sa studio ni Nik Amarnani of Line-in Records. Daming learnings.
And pag-dating naman sa collab namin with Chin, I’ve always wanted to release a song with her vocals in it, Kasi I’ve been a fan of her voice for a long time. Ayun, finally we got to work with her on this project. Hopefully, magustuhan ng mga tao yung song and may mga maka-relate hehe.
