South local scene gathered during a sunday night gig to support the music video launch of pop punk band, At Last Farewell‘s debut video ‘Lucid‘. Happened at Bites N Brew, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, the performances from Tidal, Red-handed Kid, Seasick, The Near Death Experience, Lockout Season, We The Never, Trailing Noises and of course, our star of the night, At Last Farewell gave us a night to remember.
The Fam got a chance to talk with the band during the event to talk about the inspiration behind their songs and their future plans.
Finite: So how’s the event so far?
At Last Farewell: Solid. Actually we didn’t expect na yung mga tao ganito lalo na Sunday night pa.
Finite: Describe Lucid.
At Last Farewell: This song is about a girl. Nasulat ko (Yanny, vocalist) sya dahil yun yung naramdaman ko, na-experience ko yun. Marami kasing tao na ginagamit lang tayo pero kailangan nating buksan ang mga mata natin para malaman kung ganon nga lang.
Finite: How did you come up with the concept of the music video?
At Last Farewell: Ang ginawa namin pinakinig namin sa director namin yung song si Deeman tapos sabi ko (Yanny, vocalist), ‘Man, baka may creative juice ka na mabibigay song, ikaw maglagay’. Pinagkatiwala namin yung video sa kanya. (Ian) Idea rin namin before na may performance part tapos sabi ni Yanny na dapat may story line.
Finite: So how was the process of writing Lucid?
At Last Farewell: Actually, nagstart yun sa lyrics talaga, and again ako (Yanny, vovalist) kasi yung nagsulat non.
Finite: What’s in store for At Last Farewell this year?
At Last Farewell: Abangan nila yung EP namin, it’s called Sleeping Patterns so actually after this launch, tracking season na kami. Marami na kaming naka schedule na plans siguro may mga gig pero more on tracking talaga kami.
