Death and loss are both equally familiar and strange to us. When the song was first written a few years ago, it was for a friend that one of us lost through unspeakable circumstance. The song was always shelved due to the fact that it never felt right, just because of the dark cloud that floats over it.

Then, just this year we had our first real touch of “loss”; it really took a toll on everyone, not just us. The sudden passing of our friend made us realize a lot of things; things that mainly concern ourselves and the actions we have towards other people. In this life, all you ever leave behind is how happy you’ve made everyone.
Life is just that… we think. All we could ever do is love for as much as we breathe, and hope for as long as we can.
