Bring Me The Horizon Unleash Emotional New Single

The biggest rock band on the planet have unleashed yet another absolute banger of a track. Just days after announcing the upcoming release of their new EP Post Human: Survival Horror, UK natives Bring Me The Horizon delivered an emotional song just minutes ago on BBC Radio 1 with Annie Mac. The song is entitled Teardrops and it very clearly builds on the momentum that the band have already created this year with the earlier releases of Parasite Eve and Obey featuring YUNGBLUD.

When asked about the meaning of the song, Oli Sykes described it as being about the emotions that we all have to deal with on a daily basis, especially now with the current state of the world. “Our moral compass is skewed because we’re numb to bad news every day,” Sykes said in an on-air interview with Annie Mac. However, despite those negative emotions, he talks about how important it is to focus on the positives in your life. “We all need to find what gives us purpose and a reason to live. For me, that’s my band,” Sykes continued.

The sound of the single is very reminiscent of Parasite Eve and Obey, maintaining a bit of a stadium rock vibe while still being very Bring Me The Horizon. It is definitely the softest track they’ve released in the past year, however that doesn’t make it any less huge. According to Sykes, it’s the most Bring Me The Horizon-esque song they’ve released since Can You Feel My Heart? and Sleepwalking. The emotion of the song bleeds through in Sykes’ harsh vocals which blend beautifully with the symphonics and heavy guitars.

Bring Me The Horizon’s new EP Post Human: Survival Horror drops in just over a week on October 30 and will includes features from Babymetal, Nova Twins, Amy Lee of Evanescence and the aforementioned YUNGBLUD.
