Metalcore band from Taguig, Philippines, Rebuild recently released their newest single and music video for ‘Luminance‘. ‘Luminance‘ showcases Rebuild‘s ability to create new dynamics within their sound. The song takes you on a roller coaster of emotions, weaving a tale of forgiveness, and reconciliation with those we love, yet unintentionally hurt and seeking light in our darkest days. In this new single, the band also branches into an electrifying world of graceful transitions with combustions of devouring stagnant hooks and reconstructing metalcore.
Behind the scenes of creating the music video for ‘Luminance’ was a journey filled with challenges, perseverance, and the magic of creation. The song was born in 2018, and recorded in Green Sushi and now, after facing the pandemic’s halt on production, it’s finally ready for release as our 3rd song.
However, during the hiatus, we explored deeper into the song, making changes and additions, ensuring every aspect resonated with emotion – from vocals to guitar parts to drums. The result? An almost 6-minute masterpiece is well worth the listen.
Choosing the location for the shoot was pivotal, and our vocalist’s secret spot, brimming with life, captured our hearts. Red introduced to us the perfect spot for ‘Luminance,’ and we couldn’t agree more. But, navigating the challenges of shooting in the mountains tested us.
Our directors, Zoren Fernandez (Orca) & Roggie Mark Tianzon (Ryuu), faced the daunting task of working with limited resources amidst unpredictable weather. Yet, armed with determination, we embarked on a barefoot trek at 2 am, instruments in hand, raining and muddy everywhere through the forest up to the mountain’s peak.
Despite the hardships, reaching the summit washed away our fatigue and negativity, leaving us filled with positivity and anticipation. We knew the effort was worth it. This music video is a testament to our dedication and willingness to push boundaries as an artist, and we’re proud to call it an achievement in our journey.

ABOUT REBUILD:
Formed on May 25, 2016, Rebuild emerged with a fiery passion for Metal music. Led by Red Redelicia on Guitar and Vocals, alongside neighbor John “Jepoy” Dave shredding it on Lead Guitar. Originally, Red’s brother, Paolo Redelicia, was set to take the drums but fate had other plans. His college mate, Julius Malate, stepped in and claimed the throne as a permanent drummer. Paolo then found his rhythm on bass, completing our lineup.
Why Rebuild? Because we stand firm in the belief that from destruction comes reconstruction and improvement.
