Quezon City post-hardcore band PRO FORMA shared their first Tagalog song called ‘Tanikala‘. ‘Tanikala‘, according to the band is quite overwhelming at first because they are trying a different style of tuning or sound. It has been a long process compared to their first track, “Darlene” .

We wrote this song last year, on November 1st, 2022. As you may know, during this time of the year, this has been a permanent fixture of “Undas”, a tradition among many Filipinos. It is mainly about the importance of grief. Often times, we wonder how some of us were able to process, manage, and cope after death, illness, or other significant losses. It is messy; it might be long, scary, and overwhelming, but it is important to let yourself experience it because we believe that the only way out is through.
