Pop-punk band, happydaze released gleaming single “Cool Blue“. “Cool Blue” puts-forth a hypnotic presence creating an illuminating atmosphere. The track gracefully places lead vocalist Luke Bovill’s voice enters smoothly enticing listeners to stay and listen. Binding together raw melodies laced with an ascending sound, driving in the band’s ability to create a dreamy and addictive song.
“”Cool Blue” is the acceptance and sadness felt when someone important to you can’t be in your life anymore, whether it’s a partner, family or friend. The track speaks to the comfort in it being the right decision, a conversation with someone you were close to, honing in on the push and pull and inner struggle of knowing you’re not right for each other. “Cool Blue” is about living too fast, knowing you are going to struggle without them, but accepting it’s what you have to do.”
Says the band about the new track.

The story of happydaze began in an abandoned barn, at a battle of the bands contest outside of Edinburgh, Scotland. It was there a 15yr old Luke Bovill (vocals) met Pete Bunting (drums) for the first time. Despite being competitors on the day the two kept in touch, always expressing a desire to one day collaborate and play together. Following the break up of bands and numerous creative relationships dissolving, early 2020 found the pair able to start something new. At this point Luke brought in college friend Rory Gault-Gordon (guitar) and at a later date Pete asked Adam Campbell (guitar) from the Edinburgh scene to join. It was here happydaze was formed.
