Punk rock band Pinkshift release new single ‘Mars’ + EP announcement

American punk rock band, Pinkshift, premiered a new single “Mars” via AV Club along with an LP pre-order for “Saccharine“, their EP combining previous singles. With writing inspired by 90s grunge and 2000s pop-punk, the band walks the lines between riot grrl, punk rock, and post-hardcore. Melting together different musical and cultural roots by a common love for angsty rock, the band embraces their diverse backgrounds to create an authentic and dynamic sound.

The lyrics of the song are about the beginnings of something shiny and new. Ironically this was the song that really pulled us together to start this band – it’s full of optimism and hope for a brighter future. It feels fitting to put a spin on our original demo this year for the same message with a touch of angst

Pinkshift’s lead singer Ashrita Kumar says about the song
