Vilify recently made their debut with the single “Habit” – a brutal introduction to the brand new melodic hardcore trio. Now, the band released their second offering, “Deadweight“, from forthcoming EP ‘Clarity‘ – out Friday December 4!
“Deadweight” premiered at TheMusic and follows on where “Habit” left off. “Habit” is about addiction – to drugs, to alcohol, to unhealthy behaviour and to being consumed by toxic situations and people. “Deadweight” is about friendship and discovering peoples true colours.
“It’s about the journey of discovering the truth in people. It’s about being stabbed in the back and being pissed off about it. It’s sort of beautifully ironic that a song about toxic relationships was only made possible by our friends. This is our second DIY video shot at home in my lounge room, this time starring some of our nearest and dearest.“
