Punk quartet Sincere Engineer sign to Hopeless Records; release new track “Trust Me”

This is my grand introduction. I’m laying face down in the street for the second time this week…

Chicago-based punks Sincere Engineer are here to share exciting news as they have just signed to Hopeless Records and released a new track as well entitled “Trust Me”, a song that talks of self-sabotage.

The juxtaposition between hopeful expectations and disappointing reality is a theme that vocalist Deanna Belos, incorporates throughout her duties as songwriter.

Trust Me” explores the feelings of defeat in heartbreak, failure, repeating mistakes, and digging oneself into a deeper hole. It tackles the issue of making too many promises and commitments and failing to fulfill them. However, instead of wallowing in despair, “Trust Me” is a defiant, candid, call-me-on-my-shit wake up call that pushes us to be better.

Sincere Engineer comments:

We are absolutely thrilled to join the Hopeless Records family. And we’re so excited to share our new song called “Trust Me” with everyone!
To accompany it, we made a shit DIY music video that probably has our new family thinking “oh no, what have we done?

Watch the music video for “Trust Me” here:

Previously signed to Red Scare, the group’s debut album “Rhombithian“, was praised by the likes of Noisey, caught the attention of The Lawrence Arms, who brought the band on tour with them for support. as well as established the band’s place as perhaps one of modern punk’s most ambitious and honest bands.
