The rising Australian metalcore giants are back with their sophomore release on Friday, February 21, 2020, entitled “The Death of Me’; set to unleash hypermania on the world.
This comes as a highly-anticipated follow up to their successful and greatly revered debut album, “The Mortal Coil” released back in 2017 and if one were to sum it up as a fan, “The Death of Me” does not disappoint.
In fact, it rides on to what made “The Mortal Coil” so awesome and praise-worthy: crushing, intricate guitar riffs, heart-pounding basslines and drum beats, and the beautiful mix of harsh growls and melodic vocals. “The Death of Me” delivers all of that and makes it even better; every song dripping with heartfelt emotion and each track promising to take you on a rollercoaster ride into the future of metalcore.
Some personal favorites would have to be “Masochist” and “Landmine” (both of which were released as singles with music videos along with “Hypermania” prior to the album release) as well as “Above My Head” and “Martyr (Waves)”.
