Trap metal is real and it’s here. THE WEIGHT OF SILENCE from Australia brings us another banger with the release of their brand new single ‘Runnin’ Through The 666′, taken from their upcoming album to be released next year.

The band recently toured the Philippines last May and played at Numinous’ Wagayway Festival. The Weight of Silence is Jacob J-Figure Pedersen on vocals, Benny Ehmke on guitars, Nic Courtney on drums, and the newest addition, Bjorn Santos on bass, co-founder and former member of Pinoy hardcore icons Arcadia.

I wrote this song when I was in a dark place emotionally, dealing mostly with drug addiction. The lyrics are an insight to the mind of someone who is high as fuck and in no way looking for a way out.

At that time in my life, I was happy being totally involved in drugs. The lyrics speak volumes to that thought, but the mood of the song is dark because obviously that situation is dark. Which explains the title; Runnin’ Through The 666. I was happily running through hell.
