After almost 10 years of hiatus, Campbell is back with a brand new single “The Grand Maker”.

Hi Campbell, first of all, welcome back! Please tell us something about your new single “The Grand Maker”.

Thank you, we are glad that we are back. We can’t believe it, really. Lol 
So, The Grand Maker, this is actually our first song ever recorded after, maybe 9 or 10 years? This song means a lot to us. This song speaks a thousand words. The message behind this song, in general, is that we as ourselves are the real make shifter to every event that’s happening in our lives. Basically, this song tells us that it is okay to do something that you love and just don’t give a fuck about anyone’s shit telling you that this isn’t good for you and that this is not for you. That kind of shit. It is okay to get rid of all the toxicities around you, may it be a family member or a friend or anyone in order for you to grow and be what you dream of and that it is worth a fight. Just do what you love as long as you are not stepping on someone else’s toes, that is fine. That is totally fine. To everyone that’s still hiding in their closets, please don’t be afraid to come out. Make the world colorful and just be who you are. Don’t just chase your dreams, conquer it. Don’t give a damn about anyone telling you can’t make it. Yes, you can and you will always will.

What was the inspiration for it?

We or personally (Eroll) can no longer stand swimming in a pool full of rubbish. I have to pull myself out and make a new path in order for me to grow as a person and my mental health is in jeopardy if I still stay around in that shithole. So, I just realized it is really okay to get rid of anything or anyone that is really not helping you at all and shit is bringing you down. 

You announced your comeback earlier this week via a facebook post, how was your fans’ reaction so far?

We can’t tell, excited? Maybe? We are not really sure. But some are sending messages saying that they are excited and thrilled with the new song and the comeback.

Lastly, what can we expect from Campbell this year?

We will be more active and more songs to be uploaded online. We are the same but different Campbell. I can say, our sound is way mature than our previous album. It is way serious and we will be sending a message on every song we drop. More gigs coming up, Luzon, Visayas and maybe Mindanao. Album will be released sometime next year, we are still in the songwriting process. Just visit our Facebook page more often for updates. I think that is all for now.
