'Work hard. Be brave na subukan lahat ng mga bagay na akala mo hindi mo kaya' Hide At Six Launches Debut Album

A rainy saturday night won’t stop the music lovers to support the local community scene. Last night at Hide At Six‘s Good Times and Goodbyes album launch was one of it. With performances by Hide At Six, Almost Prom King, No Thanks, Run Like Lions, MNR MJRTY, I Fall, I Rise, Anthem For Maria and Ernest:Hope, the album launch was guaranteed a night to remember.

After the event, the Fam got the chance to talk to Hide At Six about their new album ‘Good Times and Goodbyes‘

Finite: How was the event? Did you expect this amount of people and the energy?

HAS: Overwhelming sobra. Syempre ang daming tao kahit maulan kanina.

Finite: What was the inspiration behind Good Times and Goodbyes?

HAS: It’s about relationship, being happy and being sad.

Finite: Favorite song from the album?

HAS: Can We Still Be Friends?, Nice To Meet You and Never Be.

Finite: How was the songwriting for this album?

HAS: Parang yung iba imaginary situation lang, medyo may napapanood ka tapos biglang magagawan ng kanta. Minsan sa isang uncomfortable situation, nasa jeep ka, bigla kang mapapaisip. Sa akin (Jay-Jay) talaga nagsisimula tapos pinapasa ko lang sa kanila.

Finite: What can we expect from Hide At Six this year?

HAS: I think we’ll be working on new content ulit then baka magrelease ulit kami ng songs. Actually marami na talagang kanta kasi last year pa talaga dapat ito irerelease.

Finite: Advice to all aspiring musicians?

HAS: Tuloy-tuloy lang, wag manglalait ng gawa ng iba. Attend sa gig para makakuha ng experience. Be friendly and be happy sa pagbabanda. Work hard. Be brave na subukan lahat ng mga bagay na akala mo hindi mo kaya. Yun talaga ang magpu pursue sayo para gumawa ng kanta.
